about

My interest in music began at an early age, surrounded by a very musical family. After learning to DJ at the age of 9, I quickly realised music was my passion and learnt Piano at the age of 12. I then taught myself Guitar at 13, and quickly took to songwriting and producing at 14. In 2004 I took my first steps into the music industry with the launch of Control-S, a House & Garage production duo with Lee Tyler, which is still a relatively successful project of mine.Since 2013 I have worked primarily in live music as a Musician, Music Director and Playback Engineer. I’ve had the pleasure of working with acts such as Shawn Mendes, Dua Lipa, Depeche Mode, M83, Wolf Alice, Schiller, Scott Quinn, Majestic, Beaux and many more over the years. For more informaton, or if you require Music Direction, System Designs/builds, or Playback services please get in touch via email.Additionally, if you are new to the live music industry in any of the above roles and are looking for guidance or advice please reach out. I am passionate about helping fresh talent come through in our industry, and will always do everything I can to help.

Shawn mendes

I joined Shawn Mendes as Playback Engineer for his 2019 tour, adopting an existing Audio Playback system, and slowly adding MIDI to the rig throughout the tour as needed. This tour also served as the backdrop to a Netflix Special from his hometown stadium show in Toronto, and accompanying documentary, "In Wonder".For the 2022 "Wonder Tour", I deployed a MADI Audio Playback system, large RTP MIDI-over-MADI network between two stages, show control via AbleSet, and a Guitar FX system to serve both stages with audio over Ethernet.

beaux

I joined beaux as Music Director in 2021 after designing his touring rig consisting of Audio Playback, RTP Midi, Guitar FX, Drum Triggers, Vocal FX, and show control via Conductor.Having now completed numerous tours, support slots and live appearances, I work closely with beaux when preparing new show formats, live arrangements, and setlists showcasing new music.

schiller

Schiller is an Electronic act from Germany, fronted by Producer and Composer, Christopher von Deylen. In 2013 I was asked to join Schiller on Keyboards and Guitar, alongside drummer Cliff Hewitt, for a 48-date theatre tour in Europe. During this tour, my Keys setup was run exclusively on a Receptor, utilising Kontakt and Omnisphere.I held this position throughout 2014/2015 for various tours and events, including "Schiller x Aquanario", and "Symphonia" which was later released and awarded Gold status in Germany.2017 brought another 75-date theatre tour around Europe, plus more dates throughout 2018 in other territories. For this tour, I moved over to Ableton Live for both MIDI and Audio from 4 external hardware synths, making full use of tempo-synced FX and audio processing.

nili fossae

Nili Fossae is my Ambient/Electronic project with Pete Sené; formed at the height of lockdown in 2020, also exploring Neoclassical and Organic House genres.February 2022 saw the release of our debut EP, “Into The Blue”, which gained heavy support from Spotify curated playlists and BBC Radio across all 4 singles. 2023 brings our second EP with lead single “Hold”.

majestic

In 2016 I brought Majestic's debut live show to the stage as Music Director and System Designer for his "Live In The Place" and "Limitless" events. Here, I put together a live band behind Majestic, along with special guests to perform tracks from across his longstanding career, ranging from UK House & Garage to Hip Hop and Grime. This involved remaking tracks from scratch that didn't have stems available, preparing live arrangements, and most importantly bringing a VJ-type setup into a live band scenario for the first time.

m83

In 2016, I joined M83 on the European leg of their Junk Tour, as Playback & Keyboard Engineer. While the Playback & Keys rigs were designed and built by a previous tech, it consisted of 4 laptops running Ableton Live, all sending data to and from various keyboards across the stage via Ethernet, plus an iPad for playback control.
